Hello ladies , i have always wondered about these makeup brushes and how to maintain them .

Did you know what each type of brush was for ?
Basically there are two types of hair in these brushes .. Synthetic and natural/ authentic .

What are synthetic hair brushes for ?

Synthetic brushes are specifically made for creamy makeup products. Since its surface is smooth and lacks tiny spaces , it is very easy to remove all residual product build up and helps to keep your brush in good condition for longer .


What are natural / authentic hair brushes ?

Brushes that are made of natural hair contain many tiny spaces in them when seen microscopically . Hence when you use them they pick up a lot more pigments.

Tips for maintaining those expensive brushes ----

- do not blow into the brush bristles and distort its shape to remove excess makeup.Instead, tap the brush against your hand or on a tissue .
This keeps the brush in shape for longer .

While cleaning the brush never rub the bristles instead rinse with running water in the direction of the bristles .

Never soak the entire brush because the wood and the adhesive that holds the bristles and the shaft together can dissolve.

After cleaning also remember to sculpt the bristles into the original shape before it dries.

As i had told you earlier in my INGLOT haul post , i got the matte gel liner in shade 75 .

MY TAKE ON IT :

I got it in the shade 75 .. which is a dark purple shade .. it really does not look funny purple kind ..Its a dark nice purple .









The variety of shades available are very good compared to the ones available for us in india ( other than MAC )

The price is ok ( im happy :D )compared to MAC

its waterproof

stays longg !! lasted 8 hours for me .. no smudging nothing !

Its creamy and easy to apply .. even a beginner can apply it real easily .

The packaging is sturdy and its easy to carry too .. in case your travelling






 All matte shades .. would like some with shimmer / glitter .

The shop in chennai did not stock all the colors sadly !

Hmm .. Im REALLYYY thinking hard to find something bad to write about it !! lol ... NONE really !


Overall  I LOVEEEEE this shade and the INGLOT  gel liners !! :):)

If anyone has tried the other shades do let me know !!

Hello ,

I was going through a phase a couple of months back  when anything which said minerals was something i NEEDED to try :p So i came across this eyeliner L’Oreal Minerals Kohl Powder Eyeliner . I at first thought it was an eyeshadow !  Now coming to the product  .

I got this in the shade 03 Meteorite blue


Its also available in  01 Noir , 02 Stellar grey

PRODUCT CLAIMS :

• gentle mineral eyeliner is 95% from minerals
• perfume, preservative and talc free
• gentle formula is enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe
• suitable for the delicate eye area

MY TAKE ON IT :

The packaging is alright BUT its not for butter fingers like me :p  I made the mistake of dropping it while unscrewing and some of the product spilled out . So its definitely not easily transportable . 



Before u unscrew it  the bottle has to be tapped so that the powder comes out on to the sieve on top . Then with the applicator brush we can apply it . The cap comes with a slanted applicator . I really like this applicator and works really well for me .


Its a shimmery dark blue colour which will suit most of our indian skin tones . But have to WARN you -- product fall out is very high . :( Specially immediately after putting it on . You will have to dust the lower eyelid and below your eyes after applying . 

It lasted on my eyes for about 4 hours . 


Trick : Try to use it over a pencil liner , somehow it lasted longer for me this way . 




I personally think its better used as an eyeshadow / smokey eye look . 


So to summarise

Final thoughts : I probably would not repurchase this after my crazy fall out and dropping incident .. But I would definitely not mind using the rest of it for eyeshadow / smokey eye ..

Last sunday after a really longgg week of work work and more work .. i went out shopping ! yippeee .. and yeah u guessed it right .. inglot haul it was !
Well i had heard a lot of stuff about inglot from my friends and other bloggers but had never had the time .. So i was just window shopping in this mall and what did i find !! INGLOT  !! in big bold letters .. lol and i was all smiles :)) .. well my husband wasnt for sure :P

Oh and i have to add the SA at the INGLOT shop was really helpful and sweet person .. Because sometimes some SAs just get on my nerves with their sales ' tactics ' , without even understanding what i want .. So have to give credit for that :)

Hello all !!

Here goes my first post ! Im all ready to blog now! Well i feel like a kid entering school now :P all excited but kind of nervous ... hmm will i ever run out of things to write about ??? i wonder .. ( thinks ) ..definitely not !!  well as long as there is MAC , lakme , inglot , elf , coastal scents , our very own  lakme ( how could i forget ! ) , maybelline , revlon , nyx ... blah blah .. the list never ends .. !!
